About the Artist

Rachel Goldberg, or as she’s known in the art world, Debby Gold, is a multi-media artist who primarily works with illustrative media, both traditional and digital. Debby is also a storywriter and loves the power that a good story can hold over the human heart. Debby is based in Chicago, Illinois, and is currently pursuing a BFA for Studio Art at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to university, Debby was a self-learned artist, using books and digital resources to learn to hone her skill. As the oldest of four children, Debby has learned to master the art of simple explanations, and provides helpful tips and pointers for her friends’ and supporters’ benefits. By combining the power of the written word with the abstracted representation of reality, Debby aims to inspire her viewers and readers, to teach them with visual stories what words and pictures alone cannot, and to bring the joy of creative, intellectual, and physical freedom to all who wish for a little more interest. After all, the Earth without Art is just Eh.
